1. For Direct Injection (DI) Combustion Chamber, the shape of chamber is simple, compact. The heat dissipation area is small, and the heat loss is low, easy to start. The fuel consumption rate of diesel engines is lower than other forms of combustion chambers, which makes it widely used. However, the high requirement of fuel injection system is necessary. The maximum combustion pressure and pressure rising rate of diesel engines are both relatively high, which results in greater stress on the crank connecting rod mechanism. It is particularly sensitive to diesel engine speed changes and fuel quality, because speed changes and fuel quality directly affect the quality of spray;
2. The combustion chamber is closely related to the formation and combustion of the mixture. The well matched fuel system and intake system with a suitable combustion chamber shape and size can achieve high performance of engine.
