Features/Functions:

1. The requirements for the fuel system are not too high because it mainly relies on strong vortex effects to form a mixture. It does not require very high injection pressure so the diesel engine operates smoothly. The initial combustion occurs in the swirl chamber and does not directly act on the piston, resulting in a smaller rate of pressure increasing in the main combustion chamber. It’s not sensitive to the change of diesel engine speed. The relative heat dissipation area is large, and the heat loss is also higher, resulting in difficulty of cold-start performance of diesel engine and high fuel consumption rate.

2. The combustion chamber is closely related to the formation and combustion of the mixture. The well matched fuel system and intake system with a suitable combustion chamber shape and size can achieve high performance of engine.
